Documentation for using nmake with Eclipse. Eclipse is "an open source community whose projects are focused on building an extensible development platform, runtimes and application frameworks for building, deploying and managing software across the entire software lifecycle."
The release 1.0.0 plugin is available supporting the use of nmake 16, 15, and 14 with Eclipse and Eclipse CDT. Eclipse 4.4/CDT8.4.0 on Linux platforms is supported, as well as Eclipse versions 4.3/CDT8.2, 4.2/CDT8.1 and 3.7/CDT8.0 on Linux and Solaris platforms. See the following pages for more information on obtaining and using the plugin:
The old, experimental plugins are available upon request. The experimental plugins support Eclipse versions 3.3,3.4,3.5,3.6,3.7/CDT4.0,5.0,6.0,7.0,8.0 on Linux and Solaris platforms. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for the old plugins. See the following for more information on the old plugins.
For C and C++ development. Setup for CDT without using the nmake plugin.
*Although the setup for Eclipse JDT is presented in the context of Java development, the document actually describes a method for nmake integration using Eclipse external builders and external tools. Since Eclipse external builders and external tools are a general Eclipse platform feature and not specific to JDT, the approach described here may be easily adapted to non-JDT Eclipse projects.
