nmake is tested and certified on the above reference platforms. However nmake is expected to run fine on upward compatible platforms such as more recent versions of Solaris, HP-UX, and RHEL, and on compatible Linux releases including CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE, and Debian.
WARNING: When downloading to a Windows PC the filename may be altered. If the suffix (.Z, .gz, .tgz) is changed the file must be renamed back to its original filename to uncompress it on the target system.
Platforms not listed above will be ported on an as-requested basis. Contact us to request a port. Depending on the platform type, we may require the use of your machine.
A valid license file is required to use this software. If you are currently licensed for release 3.1[.x] - lu3.x you can use your current license file. If you are upgrading from a 3.0[.x] or earlier release you will need to obtain a new license from the Licensing Team. There is no charge to upgrade a currently licensed host machine, and multiple versions of nmake may be installed simultaneously.
